I see that some of you guys are shocked at the events of Sunday night. I am here to tell you that yes it really happened one and two this a typical story about how a parent think it is cute that his child is an ass until the child shows his ass to him. Now that this has been established, let’s talk about how this “perfect family” has been showing their cracks for a very long time. (and no King is not the first crack in their perfect picture). Yall remember when T.I went off on TMZ for giving out the information of his sister Precious toxicology report?? Ever since that has happened, it seems like the Harris Family cannot catch a break. It seems like the more concrete they pour over their potholes; the more potholes seem to pop up. This is call not living your truth. Now I am not going into the Sexual assault allegation scandal and the Hymen gate situations. I want to talk about a toxic patriarch and matriarch can damage a whole family trying to prove that they are perfect. I am not going to lie; people have always made parents (especially mothers) one dimensional people. not realizing that our parents are more than just parents. We have this idea of parents living a life that is straight forward. When the truth is that people road to becoming a parent is not so straightforward. It seems like the day you become a parent, you have to stop drinking, smoking, having wild sex, being sex, going out at night and being basically a real person. Now this is unfair because one you had to have sex in order to be a parent one and two parents need time away from their kids. In Tiny and T.I case, it seems like they are always away from their kids until it is time to shoot a successful reality show. Like I said in my podcast, King has already expressed earlier this year that his parents were reality tv show parents. Also, his grandmother (Tiny’s mother) raised him. Now knowing this small piece of information, it seems like King lashing out is a call for help. With King saying that he wishes he was raised in the hood is not exactly what he meant. What King meant was that he wanted his parents to be in his life around him. Before we discover friends and significant others, our parents are our best friends. We always want to be around them and cuddle with them. When King was this age, his father was in jail and his mother was on reality t.v. King is longing to be around his parents, but his parents do not want to be around him, or he feels like they do not want to be around him. Do not get it twisted King’s parents love him, but they feel like they are showing him enough love through buying him stuff and exposure. T.I I know at least I know for a fact was raised in the hood and knows that he does not want his son to be around that environment. I understand that you do not want him to live the same life but there are some things in the simpler life that you are forgetting to give. One of them is attention. You always have to pay attention to your children before they look for attention in the wrong places. King seems to think that being famous is the best thing. If he had any form attention from T.I or Tiny, he would not seek fame. When you think about it, it seems like all of their children, except Dejah are seeking to be in the entertainment industry. It is weird to me that two people who are famous on their own would want their children to be in the entertainment industry. Most people try to protect their children from the spotlight but then again. It seems like every other celebrity is putting their children in the spotlight. Even Beyonce has Blue on tour with her. I understand that people want to continue the “family business” but something has to give. I was watching a Twilight Zone episode (the series from the early 2000s) where a woman moved into a nice house with her family. Her family were acting foolish, and she wished her original family away for another one that was more palpable for her house. You cannot ask for a perfect family, or you will wish the one that God gives you away for the one that is not yours. Stop selling the perfect all Black American household and give us the real American household that we all can relate too. Also, you can take man out the hood but you cannot take the hood out of your DNA sir!!
